[PLEDGE MANAGER] Where can I choose the language of the game I will be receiving?

You will be able to choose the language of your game in the Pledge Manager. We do not yet know if any languages other than English, French and Spanish will be made available via the campaign or after the campaign, but we will let backers know when we can.

[PLEDGE MANAGER] How can I pledge?

You can become a backer in just three easy steps: Step 1: Read through the pledge levels and rewards we’re offering in the right sidebar of this page. Step 2: Click the large, green “BACK THIS PROJECT” button to the right of the trailer video at the top of this page. Step 3: Enter your pledge amount, and complete the steps for filling in your information. This process takes just a few seconds! That’s it! It’s really that simple! Thank you for backing!

Soon after the campaign ends, you’ll be given access to our BackerKit Pledge Manager. The Pledge manager is a website that gives you the opportunity to manage your contribution. You will be able to: choose the language of your game, confirm your shipping details (delivery address and phone number) and find out the shipping cost. For the delivery, we will only use the information you provided in your Pledge Manager, NOT the information from your Kickstarter account!

[PLEDGE MANAGER] Can I pledge $1 and get access to the Pledge Manager?

Yes, the $1 pledge will give you access to the pledge manager. However, this will not help in reaching stretch goals.

[CAMPAIGN] Why Aussie dollars?

Because we are located in Australia. But don’t worry, your payment should be transferred to AUD automatically after the campaign. You don’t need to convert it yourself :) We have listed an estimate of what each pledge will cost in various currencies but note these are subject to change.

[CAMPAIGN] What will the retail prices of the games be?

We have made the pledge level prices at least a third less than the retail price in stores is expected to be…

The Gardens: 40 USD / 35 EUR / 55 AUD A Walk in the Park: 20 USD / 17 EUR / 25 AUD

Please remember that backers are also getting some extras that will not be in the retail editions :)

[CAMPAIGN] Will shipment of the games be EU/US/CA/AU/NZ friendly?

All games will ship to backers from within one of these regions. This should remove the possibility of fees/taxes on incoming packages. Customs-friendly means, if you live in any of these regions and have any additional charges for receiving your package, simply email [email protected] a copy of your customs receipt and we will reimburse you via PayPal. Note: If your country is not in one of the above-mentioned regions, we cannot guarantee customs friendly shipping in these areas. (For example, The UK, Norway & Switzerland are not in the European Union.)

[CAMPAIGN] Why does the campaign timeline leave so much time for shipment and delivery?

There is currently a worldwide shipping issue with a lack of containers and slow unloadings at ports. While this is currently mostly centred around shipments to and from the USA, the issue is being felt around the world to some extent. We foresee that this problem will have a flow-on effect into next year, so predicting when games will be shipped is a difficult thing at this time. We are confident we can get the game printed and ready for a shipping container on time, but cannot promise delivery of the games to backers earlier than August 2022.

[CAMPAIGN] VAT?

Backers in Europe may be required to pay Value Added Tax. This will be charged in our post-campaign pledge manager.

[DELIVERY] Is this campaign UK custom-friendly?

While these are still uncertain times, there appears more and more likely that the government will decide to raise a wall of taxes around the UK. As far as we know those will be between 5 and 15£ per package +VAT. To cover this cost we decided to increase the cost of delivery by £5, but when the rules are clarified we may ask you for an additional contribution. To reduce your uncertainty regarding this increase we decided that it will be capped to 10£ per package. Any excess will be born by us as a publisher. We understand and are sorry for this unfortunate news and hope that this will help you decide to still back our games.

[DELIVERY] How do I sign up for AU/NZ express shipping?

Express shipping options and charges will be handled through our pledge manager Backerkit. Once the surveys launch backers in Australia and New Zealand will have the option to change their pledge to an express version. This pledge will show the new shipping rates for express shipping from our facilities in China or the US. Please note, backers who choose the express option will not be able to choose any Extras from our pledge manager store. Australian and New Zealand backers of the express option will have their games fulfilled at the same time as our Asia/RoW backers with their games being air shipped by plane from the Chinese facilities. Because express shipping items are not shipping from within the country of delivery, Grail will not be reimbursing any additional charges which can include but are not limited to any duties or import fees associated with the delivery of your package.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
